Bubbles and Smoke Workshop

With Winter well and truly upon us, why not come and learn how to photograph smoke and bubbles.  A great rainy day project not needing a great deal of equipment.  Cheat Sheets will be available along with assistance on the night.  Bring your camera, tripod and a selection of lens.  An off camera flash to suit your camera could also be handy.
The Camp Kitchen is in the middle of the park.  Park out the front and walk in through the boom gate, taking the second road on your left where you will see the Camp Kitchen.
Please advise via email or text if you will be coming by 6pm Tuesday evening.

Ghost Fungi – Take Two

Tuesday 14 June 2022 – time and place TBA

Tonights visit to Chiltern NP has been cancelled, however we do have a very kind invitation from Wangaratta Camera Club to join them next Tuesday night. Given some were away for this long weekend this will probably be our only chance to experience this before they finish for the year.

Expressions of interest are required by 6pm Sunday night to allow us to co-ordinate car pooling etc. Please email me at:

Ghost Fungi shoot

BCC Event – Friday 10 June from 5.30pm – 7.30pm approx. Chiltern NP

I know its short notice and I am not even sure how much fungi will still be there (I was there last Friday), but I am hoping to find some to photograph again. Minimal walking but you will need to get down onto the forest floor as most is at ground level. I will only be able to take a couple of people with me so please email me directly if interested at: mandgblack@gmail.com

A fast lens (low f no) between 20-100mm, ideally a zoom, manual camera with remote shutter (or use camera 30sec) torches, warm clothes, tripod though most fungi will be too low to use a tripod, bean bag or similar if you have one to stabilise camera (heat packs with wheat etc will work)

Astro photography master class opportunity.

Our activities coordinator, Glenda Black has a ticket to an in-demand master class in astro photography that she is unable to use, and is offering it to interested members.

The class is at Wangaratta/Wetlands on May 22. The price is $297. Glenda is happy to transfer to someone who can go for $275.
