Paatsch Shield interclub challenge – 5 May 2024
Attached is the flyer for our upcoming yearly photographic competition between Wodonga Albury Photography Club and our own club. Last year we were just beaten in the points tally so this year we hope to do better and regain the trophy. For those who haven’t attended before, its a fun day out with like minded photographers and a great social outing. There will be a couple of set subjects which need to be captured on the day and later submitted. A lunch presentation will be arranged once the images are judged.
It would be great if you could let me know if you will be attending and also if you need transport – email: mandgblack@gmail.com

Images for 70th birthday exhibition
A discussed at the last Camera Club meeting, we are collecting images for the 70th anniversary exhibition at the Benalla Art Gallery in August.
The exhibition design is in the hands of a sub committee consisting of Doug Spowart, Vicky Cooper, Kym Stubbs and Judy Barry.
I’ve been asked to help with some technical matters.
Some images in the exhibition will be projected, others will be printed, either in a wall collage or on an interactive display.
We want to have images from every member of the club, so expect to be nagged until you comply.
We’re looking for up to 12 images from each member, so a representative collection can be selected. We would like to present a variety of image types and subjects, so try to include a variety of images in your submission.
Some images will be printed in a square format, so if you can include some images that would look good in square format, that would help.
We’re also looking for photos of people taking part in camera club activities.
There is a new “70th Anniversary” competition on the website with two sections. One is for your photographic masterpieces and the other for photos of activities.
Where photos are selected for projection, the uploaded images will do nicely.
Where images are selected for printing, you will be asked to provide a higher resolution copy on USB stick.
Hop to it.
